I'm back, and I'm crispy.. Mmyes, don't take advantage of the nice British weather by going for a picnic in a field, because you will fall asleep and get sunburn and then chased by an angry farmer. If you're me at any rate! But at least the strawberries were good. I miss the boy already, but it's not too long to August, right? Right? Bah, I was conspiring with him Mum to fly out to India and surprise him which may or may not happen, who knows! I also fell down a spiral staircase when visiting a castle, and we decided that I'd definitely be a ground floor princess, such is my clutz-tastic-ness.
So I've come back just now to a rejection letter from one of the many things I've applied to do next year. It was down to me and another guy for the placement at the British Antarctic Survey after 3 rounds, and he got it. Boo! Never mind, hopefully one of the Masters courses will want me, and my supervisor keeps nagging me to apply for a phD. I don't feel ready for that yet, but if not this year then the next I'll strive to become Dr. Gin.
But both those things have made me feel quite down even though it's a lovely day. I really need to get my useless open exam done as I have to return my library books tomorrow, but I can't summon the motivation :P I want to play, or write, or install BV, or ACR, or something! I think I just feel like playing without having to document, so I'm considering installing BV and then just doing a trip for someone. I'm scared of it though, it always fails to run after the first 2 or 3 times I open the game - but that was before I RAMed up. I miss SimPE. It's not out for FT yet, is it?
I also got introduced to Arrested Development this weekend which was frickin' hilarious! Maybe I'll just watch that for a bit. I had another one of my 'OOOH!' moments for the Darlings and shouted "OOOH, Maeby and George Michael Darling, I see!" which thorougly confused everyone, but what the hey! Very similar to my "OOOH, Vetinari!" when reading Discworld in bed. I know people explain these things, I just never listen at the time ;)
